N. Korea slams 'sordid' Kim plastic-surgery claims

North Korea has finally responded to persistent rumours that leader Kim Jong-Un had plastic surgery to look like his revered grandfather, issuing a denial criticising "sordid hackwork by rubbish media".

This picture released from North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency on January 1, 2013 shows leader Kim Jong-Un delivering a New Year's Day address in Pyongyang. North Korea has finally responded to persistent rumours that Kim had plastic surgery to look like his revered grandfather.

Speculation that Kim's resemblance to the country's founding leader, Kim Il-Sung, is not 100 percent natural has been around for some time, though with little or no supporting evidence.
