Aussie DJs won't face royal hoax call charges

British prosecutors said Friday that two Australian DJs will not face charges over a hoax call to the hospital treating Prince William's pregnant wife Catherine, after which a nurse was found hanged.

Undated photos provided by Southern Cross Austereo on December 6, 2012 show Australian radio DJs Mel Greig (L) and Michael Christian. British prosecutors said on Friday they would not bring charges over a hoax call by two Australian radio DJs to the hospital where Prince William's pregnant wife Catherine was being treated.

The Crown Prosecution Service said there was no evidence to support a charge of manslaughter over the death of nurse Jacintha Saldanha, and that they would not be able to extradite the pair for data protection offences.
