An Indonesian court sentenced a German man Wednesday to five years in prison for attempting to smuggle hashish onto the resort island of Bali.

Martin Robert Moller, 41, was detained in December by customs officials with 232 grams (8.2 ounces) of hashish in two capsules as he arrived at the island's international airport from Bangkok on a Thai Airways flight.
