UK troops may return to Afghanistan

LONDON - British combat troops could return to Afghanistan if the country once again becomes a haven for terror groups, the head of the army said Monday.

This handout picture received on May 11, 2014 from Britain's Ministry of Defence shows soldiers closing the gates for the last time as British military leave following the closure of Observation Post Sterga 2 in Afghanistan's Helmand Province

General Sir Peter Wall said he was confident that Afghan forces had the capability to keep the country secure after foreign combat troops leave at the end of this year.
