Navy chief probes arrest of elite sailors

Navy chief Adm Narong Pipattanasai has ordered a probe into the arrest of three naval special warfare members by police yesterday morning, navy secretary Rear Adm Kan Dee-ubon said. 

Rear Adm Kan said Rear Adm Winai Klomin, commander of the Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC), had also been ordered to investigate and report back to the navy chief on whether the three engaged in criminal activity.

If found guilty, they would be subject to both legal and disciplinary action, Rear Adm Kan said.
