NCPO revamps structure for handling insurgency

Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha, chief of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), on Thursday restructured solutions for the insurgency-plagued far South and took full control of policy-making for the region. 

Col Banpot Phunpien, spokesman of the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc), said Gen Prayuth approved the restructuring on Thursday morning and it took effect at policy-making and operational levels.

Solutions for the three southern border provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat are now divided into three levels.
