PATTANI — Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man suspected of launching a bomb attack near the Pattani Central Mosque early this month that killed a policeman and injured his two colleagues and a civilian.
The suspect was identified as Asmeen Katemmadeen, 28.
An investigator at Muang Pattani police station said the arrest warrant was issued after a witness to the July 3 blast confirmed the identity of Mr Asmeen after he appeared in video footage near the scene.
Mr Asmeen, who lives in Muang district, is also wanted under an arrest warrant in connection with the car bombing at the Central Festival Samui shopping mall last year, police said.
