Seven caught with 1.5m speed pills in four raids

Seven suspects were caught and 1.5 million methamphetamine pills seized in four coordinated raids in Chiang Mai, Pathun Thani, Bangkok and Rayong provinces on Thursday morning, Manager Online reported.

At the first location in Chiang Mai's Mae Taeng district, authorities arrested Sanchai Laoyang, 36, in a search of a house in Moo 5 village of tambon Ban Chang and a car on Mae Taeng - Pai road, and seized a total of 200,000 speed pills.

Another 800,000 methamphetamine pills were seized at the parking lot of a department store in Pathum Thani's Rangsit area.  Four suspects were arrested.

At the third location, the parking area of a department store on Ram-intra road in Bangkok, authorities arrested one suspect with 232,000 speed pills.

A search of the fourth target in Rayong province resulted in the arrest of a suspect with 330,000 methamphetamine pills.
