The Min Buri Provincial Court approved a police request on Tuesday for arrest warrants for three more suspects in connection with the Erawan and Sathorn pier bomb explosions.

The three were charged with illegally possessing explosive materials. The first two men were identified as Ali Jolan and Ahmet Bozonglan.

Police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri said their nationalities had not been confirmed, but photos on Thai media sites showed Ahmet's name in a Chinese passport issued in Xinjiang province.

The third suspect's name was not specified, but Pol Lt Gen Prawut said he was Turkish.

Three other arrest warrants were issued on Monday for two foreign men and a 26-year-old Thai woman, Wanna Suansan of Phang-nga, with the Muslim name Maisaroh.

Police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri said travel records did not show the three new suspects had left Thailand. Police believed they were still in the country.

He said the three men were linked to the first suspect arrested on Saturday at the Pool Anant apartment building in Soi Chuam Samphan, Nong Chok district, in Bangkok.
