A. parking dispute between neighbours blossomed into sudden gunfire that left three people dead in Bangkok’s Kannayao district.

The fatal shooting occurred on Soi Suan Sayam 15 off Suan Sayam Road in front of a three-story shophouse selling liquor and groceries on Monday night, said Pol Lt Col Supat Salachua, a police investigator at Bang Chan police station. It was reported to police around 7.30pm.

Shop owner Siriluck Sae Hor, 46, and her Cambodian migrant employee were standing in front of the store. Her neighbour, identified later as Thossaporn Pitakwattananon, stopped his black Toyota Fortuner in front of his house, next door to the woman’s shop.

A quarrel then erupted between Mr Thossaporn and Mrs Siriluck, who had a long-standing dispute over parking, Thai media reported on Tuesday.

Another neighbour, Bangdam Bin-umad, 45, who has a barber shop nearby, tried to intervene. Mr Thossporn then allegedly pulled out a gun and fired at Mrs Sililuck and her worker. The woman was shot in the chest and her worker hit in the stomach.

Mr Bandam fled into his shop, but Mr Thossaporn followed and allegedly shot him through the ribs. Mr  Thossaporn’s wife then drove her husband away from the scene.

The three wounded people were rushed to hospital, but died shortly after.

Police said Mrs Siriluck and Mr Thossaporn had often quarreled over the parking space in front of their houses. Their neighbours had previously intervened whenever the dispute erupted.

A police team was hot on Mr Thossaporn's trail.
