Two men and a woman were arrested with 1.6 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, or ice, and 2,000 methamphetamine pills in a sting operation by Bang Na police early on Monday.
Pol Lt Col Dechoo Sosuwannakul, deputy chief of Bang Na police, identified the three as Nathee Chantharakkha, 31, Anan Changkhwanyuen, 35, and Nonthasorn Daoruang, 40.
Acting on information that the three had sold illicit drugs to teenagers in Bang Na area, a police decoy contacted the gang to buy 10 grammes of ice for 16,000 baht and an appointment was made to hand over the drug at the mouth of Soi Sinakharin 63.
About 2am, Mr Anan arrived in a car. Police showed up and a search found he had 20 grammes of crystal meth.
Mr Anan's arrest led to a police search of a condominium room in Soi Sukhumvit 105 where 1.6kg of ice and 2,000 methamphetamine pills were found in the possession the other two suspects -- Ms Nathee and Mr Nonthasorn.
Police also seized from them a Toyota Vios car, a digital weighing scale and two mobile phones.
