DSI is in an expansive mood

The Department of Special Investigation has created 300 positions and two new bureaus to take up terrorist and special criminal cases in the provinces.
DSI chief Tharit Pengdit said yesterday 240 of the 300 new positions had been filled by officers from other agencies such as the military and police. The rest were recruited from outside the civil service.
Mr Tharit said only those in specialist fields were considered for the new posts.
