'Topless' casino had short run

The infamous gambling den that featured topless women was believed to have opened specially for the New Year holiday and has been closed ever since, police said yesterday.

Police received information that the casino, pictures of which appeared on the internet, was located in the Sai Mai area of Bangkok and belonged to a man identified as Chai Saimai, said a report by the Crime Suppression Division.

The pictures posted online showed two female attendants wearing only panties and standing at a high-low dice gaming table surrounded by male gamblers in an enclosed room. Thai banknotes can be seen on the table and a notice board bearing game rules in Thai is also seen on the wall.

Police identified "Roong". He's a "well known" figure! That's exactly why he can not be arrested :)

So the police know exactly who runs it, the names of everyone involved, when it ran, and that it no longer is running, yet no arrests have been made, or anyone remotely thinking of arresting the criminals.

How much did they receive for letting this casino run, as the high ranking officials sure knew about it, as is coming out now. The topless part might have only been a New Years eve feature, but the casino inself IS still in operation, and protected. So again nothing to see here, move along.

“…one of the topless women might be a nude model whose picture was on the cover of a magazine…”
I guess now the police officers have a reason to buy lots of magazines with nude woman to compare them with the pictures. Obviously they have to take this job serious and compare every detail.
And by the way, what is the story about “Roong”? How can be he “a well-known figure in underground gambling circles” if such casinos do not exist any more – at least according to Chalerm and his new police chief?
Anyhow, make sure you catch the topless woman before they bring more harm to Thai society!

"a tip-off from that public that one of the topless women might be a nude model whose picture was on the cover of a magazine this month.

Police are checking if the model was the same woman seen in the controversial pictures. "

    I bet they are.

I wonder how the investigation of the disappearance of Muslim lawyer Somchai Neelaphaijit is coming along?
