Sai Mai police chief seeks justice

The police chief of Sai Mai insisted on Sunday the casino featuring topless hostesses believed to have been located in the district was not a permanent one as there were no gambling dens in the area.

Pol Col Harn lerttaweewit, superintendent of Sai Mai police station, was speaking one day after a team led by Metropolitan Police Bureau deputy chief Saroj Promcharoen raided a four-storey commercial building in Sai Mai district.

Informants had told police the gambling den, which created a scandal when pictures of the topless hostesses spread on the internet, was located in the building. The raid on Saturday found nothing but a number of closed-circuit television cameras.

‘’The photographs of the topless girls have ruined my image even though I have worked hard for years,’’ ??? What a tragedy.
He should be more concerned about the illegal casino in his district. Some topless girls will not ruin his image. Try to get the owner of the casino and let the girls alone.

For as long as Newspapers have been online in Thailand I have read the same type of comments. And I have shaken my heads as long. And my advice is still the same.. Legalize it, tax it.

Pol Col Harn said the building did not house a permanent,fully-operational casino, but one room was used as a temporary gambling den on the night of New Year’s Eve.

He said he knew nothing about it and asked the public to be fair-minded.

Maybe it's just me...but he says he one room was a temporary gambling den yet he knew nothing about it ???
Since he hasn't been transfered into obscurity or fired I'd say the public is very fair-minded.
