Police on Friday confiscated more than 10,000 pirated DVDs, VCDs and music CDs in central Ubon Ratchathani.

Department of Special Investigation chief Tharit Pengdit said police initially planned raids on five or six locations where counterfeit goods were being sold. This was - we all know that - for propaganda purposes only.

An average vendor at an average market has a stock of many hundreds, often more than 1,000 of those discs. And on an average market there are several of those vendors. There are thousands of markets...
Moreover, the DSI allows its officers to tip off "influential figures".
Who is going to fight corruption within the DSI?

What about the knifes/swords etc that are on sale also? They are dangerous and are used in many murders and attacks on people. They should be banned.
