Pattaya's foreign criminals feel the heat

A new centre is taking the fight to the city's multinational offenders

Authorities admit vigorous efforts to crack down on transnational criminals in the resort town of Pattaya have failed.

Pol Lt Col Chitdecha Songhong, in the grey shirt, and Pol Capt Prajakpong Suriya, of the Transnational Crime Coordination Centre (TNCC) watch footage in which suspects were captured while using fake credit cards to withdraw money from ATMs in Pattaya.

This is why the Provincial Region 2 has established the Transnational Crime Coordination Centre (TNCC) to deal directly with foreigners who come to Thailand to commit crimes.

surely in this day and age, the authorities at entry points to thailand, should be able to access information on all those who arrive in this country. to be honest, i cannot understand how certain factions are allowed to step out of the airport!
someone has suggested that bribery and corruption has a lot to do with these undesirables who go about the country as they please, if this is the case then a special task force should be formed by the government to fight this disease.......... something similar to the 'untouchables' in the united states. foreign criminals and undesirables plus corruption in the police......... looks like a no win situation!

What can one expect when the majority of Thai police and bueaucrats receive tea money and substantial bribes for allowing these scum to continue exploiting those who provide their ill gotten gains and in so doing, further defame ... Thailand's already infamous reputation.
