    Reply to Pointoffew,

I appreciate you asking. With the number of attacks in the southern provinces, when based on the percentage of population, the number of people killed in terror attacks surpasses just about any other nation in the world. When you add in the recent events in Bangkok, it is clear that there is a significant terrorist problem in Thailand.

Re: D2...hahaha...you mean like "Fast and Furious" ? or something like that? can you imagine that in Thailand... hard to tell who would get shot, and who would be blamed.

As always the police are good in catching small fry, the big one always got untouched.

Obviously, Thailand has a significant terrorist problem. They can try to ignore the true dangers, but Thailand is in a war with a very complex and evasive enemy. It could be argued that these events are not connected, but there are far too many coincidences for it to be uncoordinated. Thailand needs to tighten up all its borders, its immigrations, and its intelligence collection so that the types of events recently seen do not become even more problematic.

Hidden in bushes? maybe yes but for a short time only i would imagaine, or they were cleaned by who ever found them, police, etc before being picked up. Finger prints.Dna(sweat).Some of these would have had tell tale signs if they had been in the bushes for a long time.

This cache would have been monitored by any other country, even if it took months, untill someone turned up for them. But what happened to the report about this that there was an influencial figure involved also? That was reported ealier. All weapons, grenades have serial numbers on them by the manufacturer, so it will be easy to trace if they wanted to. also who bought them if bought from a manufacuturer.
Smells very fishy to me. These are very new weapons, i bet they still need cleaning before use also. Check serial numbers.

For ammunition lying in the bushes it sure looks good, a cynic might say almost too good (^-^)

Yes indeed, the influential person has disappeared since yesterday's news. I believe it was stated that the "influential person" could not be named yesterday because it might interfere with the investigation and now apparently that has become true.

    "They include 36 RPG-7 grenades, 36 RPG-7 launchers, 64 60mm rockets, 144 40mm rockets, and 1,437 rounds of .88 rifle ammunition."

Someone should have read the original article, they've got it mostly right.
    That's 36 RPG-7 rockets, 36 RPG-7 boosters, 64 60mm mortar rounds, 144 40mm grenades for M79/M203, and 1,437 rounds of 30-06 ammunition in en-bloc clips for M1 Garand (AKA- ปลย.88, Type 88 small long gun).

Incidentally, there were 30 some odd RPG rockets that went missing from Lopburi depo late last year and was never found. Are these RPG rounds one and the same ?
