This alleged attack on innocent victims is very unfortunate and represents a mindset of abject cowardness.
Subsequent to a trial and conviction, swift justice needs to be implemented.
This crime (or any other copycat forms) must not be allowed!

“He claimed social discrimination and insults by people in society drove him to carry out the attack.”
I don’t know if Rachan did this or not and I don’t even know if above quote is from him – but it could be. Sure this would still be no excuse at all to hurt other people but I think it is a reminder for all of us to treat all people with a little respect. It’s bad enough for him and others to be scrap dealers. I am sure he does not need a reminder from people to look down on him.

There is a letter in the Postbag section today from a woman whose friend was splashed.
She describes her attacker as 'an iron scrap collector... pedalling a rod khen'.

So this has been going on for some time. Strange how the police arrest someone after the BP published their article.

The story (from the police) doesn’t make sense; probably another scapegoat (of course from the poorest of the people) story to please the public.

Its pretty easy to tell the difference between a 3 wheel bicycle that can barely go walking speed and a motorbike .As usual the police just grab the first scapegoat they can find and after 2 hours of intense interrogation we would admit to anything .

Sounds like a set up .The first victims said it was a motorbike .Toilet duck is a syrup and cant be sprayed . The police are really useless .

I'm not quite sure..the locations are so far for a scavenger to travel to those places and plus the gasoline is not cheap. It seems like the cops might have set up this guy so they would show the society that they actually did a good job. -That's what they do in Philippines.
Lets all wait for the Lab reports..and let us all hope the victims are healing well.
