What is a Senator doing with a war weapon? As long as parliament is in session he is above the law. There is nothing stopping him from being arrested for involentary murder if he was not above the law. He can also own a war weapon whether that is legal or not also. Be elected to parliament, it gives one free reign to kill people, or commit terrorist activities. What a wonderful law.

In civilized countries an elected official can be brought to justice for killing, and the penalty is double because they know what the laws are. Thailand protects those same people.

Please, do tell about this parliamentary privilege that protects MPs from murder charges.

Needless to say that it is "normal practice" - for some politicians - to carry a submachine gun, and that "protection by parliamentary privilege" should not apply to crimes involving bodily harm, like assault, rape, murder, etc.

Having no forensic experience but having handled many weapons, how does an Uzi get in to a restaurant and accidentally discharge? Uzi has a double safety, triple if you count the finger being off the trigger. And how does Parliamentary privilege protect one from possible murder charges?

  • Discussion 5 : 13 Aug 2012 at 13.235

Uzis are known to discharge accidently – really! But why would Mr. Senator bring one with him into a restaurant? And why would he mess around with a loaded Uzi? And does every senator run around with a loaded submachine gun?

Only in Thailand, something so stupid as parlimentary privilege. Privilege to kill an innocent person with a submachine gun, then go home to your family.

  • Discussion 3 : 13 Aug 2012 at 13.203

    Unbelievable.

A lot of why questions to ask here. Why does he own a submachinegun to start with? Why did he take it out of his bag even if he had one? Why didn't he know if his own gun was loaded or not?! And finally, why should he be protected for this in any circumstance!?

And did the senator have the rest of his dinner while the restaurant owner took his secretary to the hospital??
