Mom Lukpla jailed for poisoning prince, Appeal Court overruled

The Supreme Court yesterday sentenced Chalasai Kwanthiti, or Mom Lukpla, the wife of the late MC Thitiphan Yugala, to four years and eight months in prison for fatally poisoning her husband in 1995. 

Chalasai Kwanthiti, or Mom Lukpla, former wife of the late MC Thitiphan Yugala, arrives at the Criminal Court to hear a verdict handed down by the Supreme Court. The highest court reversed the Appeal Court’s decision and sentenced her to four years and eight months in jail for poisoning MC Thitiphan, causing his death in 1995. SURAPOL PROMSAKA NA SAKOLNAKORN

The Supreme Court initially sentenced her to seven years in jail, but the sentence was reduced because of her confession.
