The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is discussing whether to take over the murder case of Supat Laohawattana, a doctor with the Police General Hospital, who is suspected of killing up to four people.
Pol Maj Woranan Srilam, head of the DSI's division managing special cases, said his division would propose the DSI's special case committee consider taking the case over from police.
Because Pol Col Supat allegedly tortured migrant workers in his employ, the DSI was also mulling human trafficking charges, said Pol Maj Woranan.
