Koh Phangan rape suspect arrested

Surat Thani police have arrested a Myanmar man in connection with an attempted rape on an Israeli woman on the tourist island of Koh Phangan on Monday.

The man was identified only as Bo, 25, a trash collector at Tommy Resort, which is located not far from where the rape took place, Pol Col Witthaya Wangsadarn, chief of the Koh Phangan police station, said on Tuesday.

The arrest came after a tip-off from the hotel’s owner, who suspected his employee of attacking Ms Havory (surname withheld), a 23-year-old Israeli tourist, he said.

She said she "bit his lip." She didn't scratch his chest as he was wearing a T-shirt. Don't know about his neck.

I know what I'm talking about because a friend is having some issues right now that shows how cases are investigated in most cases.

My bet is this lady will not be a return visitor to this sour country. This same kind of problem is becoming systemic with Thailand. Will they never realize what is really happening to the country's image or do they just not really care about 'Next Year.'
