Police seize ammunition cache

Police seized a cache of more than 10,000 bullets and a number of hand grenades from an apartment in Bangkok owned by a former governor of Nakhon Pathom.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided a room at the Panya Ram Intra Ua-arthorn housing project in Klong Sam Wa district late on Monday night.

They found four grenades, one mortar shell, more than 10,000 M16 rifle bullets and more than a hundred M16 magazines, Metropolitan Police Bureau deputy chief Pol Maj Gen Parinya Jansuriya said yesterday.
