Mozambique woman caught with ice

PHUKET - A 37-year-old Mozambique woman was arrested and about 6kg of ice or crystal methamphetamine worth 21 million baht on the street was seized on her arrival at Phuket Airport from Malaysia on Saturday afternoon.

Monthira Cherdchoon, chief of the customs office at Phuket international airport, said the woman, Hotencia Ferreira Novela, travelled from Mozambique via Kenya, Qatar and Malaysia.

She arrived at Phuket on Flight QR624 from Kuala Lumpur at 4.30pm on Saturday.

    Who alerted who? Did Qartar alert KL and in turn, KL alert Thai so they could make the pop. 13.2 pounds of drugs and it concealed in hidden compartments.The mule was being paid 50,000 baht for this? Where did the trail start? We'll never know.
    For the past few weeks the Thai authorities have been lauded for many busts but I have yet to see a prime layer. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
    BTW, did the Red Bull heir roll over on the drug issue or not?
