Man held for student rape, blackmail

SONGKHLA - Police on Friday arrested a man on suspicion of raping a student and stealing her valuables.

Police named the suspect as Wichai Chaisaena, aged 26. He was caught at a snooker club in Songkhla's Hat Yai district.

Wichai was believed to have been involved in three rape cases, police said.

I agree. Rape is a hate crime, not a sex crime, the difference which Thais still fail to understand. So, whether she had her period or not is immaterial.
