Man held, B100m in assets seized

A key drug suspect has been detained and more than 100 million baht worth of his assets seized in a raid on a house in Chiang Mai's San Sai district yesterday morning.

A combined Thai-US force of anti-narcotics officers apprehended Thaworn Somjit, also known as Arjong sae Lu and Phanu Pabue, a resident of Chiang Dao district about 9am.

He is believed to be a key figure in a major drug gang in the North.
