Police in North seize racers' bikes

PHITSANULOK – Police have seized a total of 173 motorcycles from teenage gangs as part of the new campaign to suppress street racing.

At a press conference on Monday, Pol Maj Gen Phachorn Bunyasith, head of the Phitsanulok police, said the motorcycles were seized during the weekend (Oct 29-27).

He said the Phitsanulok provincial police have been ordered to “seriously” curb street racing under the new suppression campaign.

So they hint at charging the parents for allowing reckless street racing from their kids in this case, yet in the case of the girl who was convicted in court of killing 9 people through her reckless illegal driving, any level of responsibility or punishment for her parents was never even considered by the powers that be seemingly.

Still a good measure taken by the cops in this case though by taking the bikes and preventing an accident before it happens, will give the police their dues on this one :)

I'm so glad the order was to "seriously" curb street racing. Ordinary orders don't seem to be followed.
