For the life of me I can not figure out what the role of the police is in Thailand. Exactly what is it they do?

I feel very sad for the mother of the victim here on many levels. Thailand is a lovely place by en large, but violent incidents like these are reported all too often and seemingly not tackled with any real vigour. This type of crime is the worst of the worst

And surely 3 bouncers all beating the same man who ultimately dies is joint venture right, so what were they charged with I wonder :(

'Duanden's mother .... said on Friday said she had pressed the police and the club owners to look into matter but they ignored her and made up excuses'. Obviously she didn't offer enough money for the police to do their job. Why does Thailand even have a police force?

... scary just to go socializing and dropping a glass by accident. Time to run the gauntlet in driving on the roads, going to a bar to socialize, eating at a roadside restaurant. Gulp !!!

He was then allegdly escorted out of the club and beaten to death by Mr Danai and two other bouncers identified as Wichet Sookjam, 33, and Attapol Noon-ngarm, 31.

looks like there were 3 bouncers involved in the murder of this man...So what is the arrest status of the other two?
