More and more countries are or already legaled marijuana; Netherlands, Canada, USA just to name a few of the big ones. It should be controled and taxed just like booze and tabacco.

I disagree that deteriorating quality and safety are linked to drug related problems.

The vast majority of Thailand's problems can be solved by improving the education system, more emphasis on moral behaviour and a complete refusal to accept corrupt officials.

All this is very unlikely to happen since Thais don't understand that they are educationally backwards and that lying, cheating and scamming tourists doesn't benefit Thailand in the long term.

I couldn't watch the clip here but it's on youtube
This song's gonna be a bit hit in Thailand especially for the Tourism Authority. Cool reggae!
Covering up crime has been done systematically in order to preserve the image of Thailand as a top tourist destination.
Thailand is still a great place to travel to but quality and safety are steadily deteriorating, mostly because increasing drug related problems.
