Angry nightclubbers shotgun police

SING BURI - Two men who were sent home by police from a nightclub which had stayed open after hours are charged with returning armed with shotguns and attacking them, seriously wounding all seven members of the police squad.

Local police believed the attack was in retaliation for their ongoing policy of strict inspections of entertainment venues, which has upset nightclubbers.

The seven-strong police squad were conducting a search of a nightclub parking lot early Sunday morning when the attack occurred, according to a report in Daily News.

    Discussions 2 & 5.
The police were taken by suprise i would suggest.
Do you realise how much damage a SHOT GUN can do.
Not a nice thought at all.
And being thrown out of the bar in the early hours of the morning,
they would be intoxicated for sure.
I think they might spend a LONG time behind bars.
Then the cops will get the last laugh.

disgraceful incident, these 2 should never (and probably will never) breathe free air again. It is pre meditated attempted murder whih carries a not too disimilar sentence from pre meditated murder.
If you go home to get a gun and then return to the scene to fire upon the same police officers who ejected them from a nightclub minutes earlier, well don't expect the same authorities to go easy on you when they finally catch you.
Truly frightening how fast some people here turn to armed violence over the most trivial matters. wishing speedy recovery to wounded officers

@Discussions 5 and 2 You obviously have no idea what a shot gun with large buckshot is capable of doing, you simply do not fight against one with a pistol. I wish these officers the best, and if the 2 suspects are proven to be the guilty ones, they should never see daylight without bars again.

    D5

Two people with shotguns could easily fire three rounds each before anyone could even get their gun out of their holster. You have absolutely no idea of the circumstances surrounding the shottig, so just shut the hell up. The first reaction when being fired upon probably isn´t to fire back, but rather to find cover.

Shooting 7 men in the semi dark with shotguns means getting quite close - something is weird with this.

Here is a bulletproof prediction. This time the court will find a reason not to grant bail

7 armed cops vs 2 armed criminals = 7 wounded cops?
something here is fishy. Maybe the cops should get more training on how to aim and fire their weapons. Do they just wear them as ornaments to look tough? All of them should get free training once a month to keep them proficent. And maybe in future dont stand in one little group and spread out. And most importantly when people roll up and shoot at you, neutralize the threat immediately... am I alone in saying this?

@Disc 2 - If you read carefully ALL seven police at the scene were seriously wounded, I'm sure that was the reason why they could not return fire. Nothing strange.

Again thais do not see the value of wearing a motorcycle helmet.

  • Discussion 2 : 03 Dec 2012 at 14.032

Why the police didn't return the fire? What do they have guns for? Really strange what's going on.

Anybody care to take a guess as to how this feud will play out Thai justice style?
