Police seize 'processed marijuana'

Police have arrested two men for possession of a new form of processed marijuana worth around one million baht after a vehicle search in Beung Kan Province.

Arun Puenkumwong, 47, and Tawee Chattaruk, 47, had in their possession one kilogramme of a processed, grey coloured marijuana-like substance and one kilogramme of a sticky, brown coloured marijuana-like substance, police said on Thursday.

Dried marijuana leaves are boiled to get a more concentrated form and then ground up  to reduced 100 kgs of marijuana into 1 kg of condensed, processed marijuana, according to a report in Matichon.
