NAKHON PATHOM - A man murdered his mother in his home because he thought she was a monster, police said on Thursday.

Police said Methasit Sangkunnakup, 38, used a scalpel to kill his mother, Supaporn Sangkuunnakup, 65.

Mr Methasit confessed that he thought his mother was a monster that he has been dreaming about for a year.
