Man shot in pursuit of gold snatcher

SAMUT PRAKAN - A man drove after and caught up with a thief who had snatched his 12-baht-weight gold necklace, got into a fist fight with him and was then shot, a report said on Wednesday.

Suparp Saengruangrod told the police that he was driving his motorbike back to his home. Suddenly, a man on another bike rode up close to him and snatched away his gold necklace.

Mr Suparp chased the thief down and rammed his bilke into the thief's motorcycle, knocking both men to the ground. The 53-year-old man then yelled for help and charged at the fleeing gold robber.
