GRAND TOWER INN
Police suspect the hotel worker killed in the Grand Tower Inn fire on Sunday might have been the arsonist who lit the blaze.
They said the man, a waiter in the hotel restaurant, had been in a dispute with management and witnesses had heard him pledge to "die with" the hotel two days before the fire. Eleven others were injured in the blaze that broke out about 2am at the hotel, in Khlong San district.
A probe by investigators from Samre police station found the blaze was most likely an act of arson. They said the fire broke out almost simultaneously at nine spots in the hotel.
