After all these years and spent so much money on trying to stop/catch them, if can't stop them, then might as well groom them. Allocate an out-skirt area to become a 'control' and safe racing circuit (the money spent on police probably more than enough) and allow these 'hot blooded' youngsters to register and release themselves. Who knows, some of these young riders might end up to be National Hero of some World Class Motorcycle Racing Riders. Just a thought!

Excellent comment by "twodogs". I remember some 50++ years ago the racing blood running in my veins. Back then, in upper New York State, we had organized private drag-race courses to test our skills with self-modified cars, race courses for motorcycles, motocross, etc. No need to use public roads. Maybe someday the officials will realize that no matter what they do, where there's a will, there will always be a way, sometimes legal, sometimes not, whether it's illegal street racing, drugs, or anything else.

Most of the street racers coming through my village with their foot well down drive new pick-ups. Plenty of deaths and injuries and no arrests.

What a joke, 50 illegal racers blocked by trucks and a team of officers at a gas station and only caught three? Maybe should engage the services of the illegal fishing trawlers who catch everything in their path.

Maybe it is time for a more organized form of sanctioned racing since the kids have it in their blood.....I remember the old days when I did the same thing. These days we have motocross, hill climbs and other forms of competition. Probably a lot safer for the kids.
