Man killed for queue jumping

A man was killed by two teenagers after he cut into a queue to get food for his child at a religious ceremony in Chiang Mai province on Sunday, police said.

Pol Col Suchart Kan-ngen, of Chiang Mai police, said the victim was named as Mon Lungpan, aged 43, from Shan state in Myanmar.

On Sunday morning, Mon took his wife and child to a merit-making ceremony held at a temple in Chiang Mai's Mae Taeng district.

I really don't understand. If you know the identities of two men accused of murder why don't you arrest them. I guarantee, if the suspects were falang they would be in jail now. Clearly, the victim was a foreigner and killing a foreigner is not a crime in Thailand.

Reading between the lines, this mindless, despicable action will almost certainly have been motivated by the victim's ethnicity.

So, once convicted, do the perpetrators pay every day for the life of man's son until he is 21?
