Man gets 42 years for raping child

The Criminal Court on Wednesday sentenced a man to prison for 42 years for the repeated rape of his 12-year-old stepdaughter, reports said.
Haengcharoen Yodsook, 40, was convicted on 12 counts, receiving seven years on each, for a total of 84 years. Because he pleaded guilty his sentence was halved to a total of 42 years. The terms are cumulative
In March 2011, he forced the girl to have sex with him inside an apartment unit on several occasions while the child's mother was out working. He also threatened the girl, warning her not to tell anyone.
