Russian man strangled in Pattaya

CHON BURI - A Russian man was found dead in a hotel room in Pattaya on Tuesday and is believed to have been strangled, police said on Wednesday.

Pol Lt Col Prasit Mansri, an investigating officer of Muang Pattaya police station, said he received a report on Tuesday afternoon that a foreigner was found dead in room number 822 of a hotel in Central Pattya.

The Russian was identified as Andrei Komarov, 39, an architect from St Petersburg.
