One: He's a lowlife for doing this.
Two: The Thai women that fell for this are pretty silly, but don't deserve this.

A girl I was seeing was contacted by a guy similar to this guy on www.thaiforlove.com or one of those Thai dating sites. She immediately knew that he was a scammer and simply blocked him. I'd hope that more Thai girls would write into the admins to get him banned.

"They trusted the man because they were tricked into believing that he was from a wealthy family."

Seeing as most wealthy families appear to be "above the law" in thailand that statement makes no sense.

Well, too bad for the gals.

But...if the men, in particular farang who get scammed (every day how many times?) by Thai women, go to the police they would get laughed out the door.

I know of one woman who had four fairly well off farang guys sending her an average of 50,000 TB a month. Each believed her new-born baby was his. She juggled it very well and lived a life of luxury in a BKK high rise. Except when they guys showed up, then it was off to mom's and "we need more money...please can you help".

She was eventually caught but never charged for anything.

This guy seems to be a perfect candidate to be a politician.

    Another math problem.
Ten women at 10,000 to 100,000 each is not over 4 million THB.

How lonely and desperate these women must be to “meet” a guy only on the internet without ever meeting him in real life. Recently I see more and more woman who run around with their mobile phone or pad in front of their face. I always have to walk around them because they never open their eyes to anything outside their screen.
Maybe incidents like this will remind some of them that they should pocket their phone from time to time. Then they can look around and will see a complete new world with real people interacting with each other. Maybe the will even meet a nice guy. Go with him for a coffee and switch off the internet!
