The driver in a hit-and-run accident that killed a nine-year-old boy in Muang district of Pathum Thani late Friday night reported to police on Monday, saying he thought his pickup truck had hit a dog.
The driver, identified as Sanoh Pliankham, 60, is accused of killing Jakkarin Promsorn at Aor Bor Jor intersection on the Pathum Thani- Lat Lum Kaeo road in tambon Ban Chang of Muang district.
Police said Jakkarin was riding his bicycle to make a regular visit to his mother in Pathum Thani Hospital, who is in the final stage of cancer, when he was hit by a vehicle at high speed. He died on the spot.
