B200m drug bust in Chiang Rai

Police arrested four drug suspects and seized 600,000 methamphetamine pills, or yaba in Chiang Rai on Sunday morning. 

Pol Lt-Gen Chaiwat Chotima, chief of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, said the suspects arrested were three Hmong tribesmen - Li Sae-ma, 60, Kitar Sae-yang, 34, and Silawat Archawattanakul, 23 - and Witthawat Lae-saw, 23, from the Akha tribe.

Mr Li is a former member of Tambon Kirirat Administration Organisation in Tak province.
