Police under pressure to answer questions posed by the lawyer of slain businessman Akeyuth Anchanbutr about his death have been able to supply some information, Metropolitan Police Bureau chief Pol Lt Gen Khamronwit Thoopkrachang said on Sunday.
Pol Lt-Gen Khamronwit was replying to a letter from lawyer Suwat Apaipak sent on Tuesday. The letter listed 13 points which Mr Suwat urged police to address before wrapping up the investigation.
In one of the 13 points, the lawyer said the police statement given by Akeyuth’s driver, Santiphap Pengduang, contradicted that given by the second suspect Sutthipong Pimpisarn, particularly in terms of the testimony given in relation to a house at Ban Khuan Hong in Nakhon Si Thammarat.
