The fire at Sai Noi police station in Nonthaburi that killed four inmates on July 7 has sparked an outcry among the victims' relatives, who say police officers at the station should have tried harder to rescue the detainees. 

Jarumporn: Forensics will reveal the cause

The tragedy prompted assistant national police chief Jarumporn Suramanee, who is known as "Thailand's CSI cop" due to his expertise in crime scene investigations, to head the inquiry himself.
