The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is formally requesting that the Department of Consular Affairs consider revoking the passport of disgraced former monk Wirapol Sukphol.
Suphan Konhin, 23, from Ubon Ratchathani, who claims to be a relative of defrocked monk Wirapol Sukphol, set fire to his motorcycle in front of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) on Chaeng Watthana Road in anger after he was asked to leave the agency. Suphan has complained to the DSI that the ex-monk is being defamed. KING-OUA LAOHONG
DSI chief Tarit Pengdith said his department was also seeking cooperation from the Office of the Narcotics Control Board to investigate whether the ex-monk, who was defrocked last week, was dealing in drugs.
