In Kanchanaburi, an election officer said there were complaints of vote buying and unlawful proxy voting in the province, and informants were worried about their safety.
Kanchanaburi Election Committee director Prapas Chatmongkol said his agency had received three complaints. The complainants had submitted banknotes as evidence.
Mr Prapas said the complainants were "seriously concerned" about their safety because contest for votes in Kanchanaburi was very fierce.
He said the complaints included five voters who reported they were unable to cast their ballots after they went to the polling station and found that someone had used their identity and voted on their behalf, Mr Prapas said.
