Tourism lobby demands safety

Operators say visitors leave Bangkok quickly

The next Bangkok governor should ensure cleanliness and safety, convenience and comfort for visitors, private tourism operators say.

The operators have come up with some ideas for upgrading Bangkok's tourism industry and proposed them yesterday to candidates Pongsapat Pongcharoen and Sukhumbhand Paribatra.

    If you want to upgrade tourism, stop killing so many of them in traffic accidents or ripping them off in various well known scams.

    Truth is that we have too many tourists in Thailand. This industry is run with greed and short term goals. Without sustainability, the end is around the corner and Bangkok's governor won't change this.
