The Democrats need to overhaul their political attitudes and act like professionals as opposition. Right now they act like rebels that oppose anything and everything that walks like a duck.

Neither party shows any hint of dealing with real problems. None speak of corruption in any meaningful way or separating military and police from gov't service. If someone would tie the savings in reducing corruption directly to improved lives for Thai people - they might have a chance. For example if they moved money saved from corruption for a massive school or hospital improvement - not rice supports or car tax rebates - then maybe people would support those fighting corruption...

    Here's a few suggestions
    - never allow police or army generals to stand for office
    - revise the lese majeste laws
    - remove all members that are part of family dynasties
    - drastically increase the penalties for corruption whilst in office
    - reform the police and army, put them "out of business" and ensure they come under the control of elected representatives
    - reform the law to do away with defamation
    - reform the taxation system

the list is endless but there's a start.
