A team of divers despatched to the dam were unable to find his body on Monday afternoon, but did salvage his M16 rifle.

The searchresume on Tuesday morning and about 8.40am found the body of Pol Sgt Sgt Maj Kitti floating not far from where he went missing.

His body was sent to Banang Sata Hospital for an autopsy to establish the cause of the death.
