The state-run Transport Co has opened a "Drive Thru" service at Rangsit bus terminal, where intending passengers can purchase tickets without leaving their cars.

Pol Gen Amnat Unardngam, acting president of Transport Co, on Friday presided over the launch of the new service, a pilot project, at Rangsit terminal. Drive Thru is located opposite the ticket booths.

The Rangsit terminal, opposite the Royal Thai Mint, currently serves passengers on routes to the North and Northeast and provides online ticket services across the country.

The new ticket-buying channel can be used by cars and motorbikes and is open daily from 7am to 7.30pm, Pol Gen Amnat said.

The project is expected to increase revenue at Rangsit terminal by around 5%, he added.

The Rangsit terminal also provides a one day, one night parcel delivery service for all types of goods. The service operates daily from 4.30am to 10.30pm. Further details at the terminal, tel 0-2901-4557, or call centre 1490 around the clock.

Transport Co also provides online ticket services for passengers via its website: http://www.busticket.in.th/index.php.
