SUPHAN BURI - A 39-year-old man arrested for sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter in Song Phi Nong district has told police he raped her in revenge after his wife left him for another man.
The accused man (name withheld) was apprehended at his house in tambon Nong Bo in Song Phi Nong district on Tuesday on charges of sexually abusing his daughter, Thairath Online reported.
The arrest followed a complaint by the man’s ex-wife that he had raped their daughter, 16, a Mathayom Suksa 3 student, on Sept 22.
Police looked into the complaint, found there was evidence to support the allegation and obtained an arrest warrant from the Suphan Buri provincial court.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to having raped his daughter, according to police.
He said his wife had abandoned him to live with another man and this made him angry. He decided he would get revenge on the girl’s mother by raping their daughter.
He was held in police custody at Thung Khok police station for legal action.
